Make It Monday #12

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

This is my second card for this week's Make It Monday.  I love these hand drawn frames.  They take some forethought, but can really be incorporated into so many different designs.

I stamped the center tree first and then re inked my stamp.  Before stamping the second (left) and third (right) tree, I stamped off some of the ink.  I think it really helped to create depth.  I also colored those trees with lighter copic colors to keep the focus on the center tree:)

April Blog Hop Masculine Cards

Monday, April 25, 2011

This month's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop focuses on masculine cards.

The inspiration for this card comes from a small collection of old stamps my husband has from his grandmother.
It was so much fun making all of these individual stamps.
The envelope is made from a large PTI glassine bag. I used the mini envelope die to cut the glassine bag and I used score tape to hold the little envelope together.

Here's a picture of some of Ryan's stamps!

Cardstock: PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream
Stamps: PTI Postmarks, Star Prints
Ink: PTI Ripe Avocado, New Leaf, Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, Melon Berry, Ocean Tides, Berry Sorbet, Enchanted Evening, Memento Black, Tea Dye Duo
Other: Mini Envelope Die, Postage Stamp Die, Twine, Lg. Glassine Bag, Corner Rounder Punch, Tim Holtz Embossing Folder

Green Thumb

Sunday, April 24, 2011

This card features another older set from PTI, Green Thumb.  It was released in March 2007.  I had to have this set if just for that rubber boot!  It does have a lot of other great images too.

I love these berries! I dusted them with 'sugar'.
I'm looking forward to summer....long days and sweet, fresh fruit!

Only one more day left in my spring break vacation.
I'd better make it count!
Have a great day.

An extremely talented fellow blogger is celebrating her 1 year blog anniversary.  I have been visiting Keva's blog daily for quite awhile.  In honor of her first anniversary, she is giving away an incredibly generous gift.....a $25 PTI (or Verve) gift certificate.

In order to have a chance to win, she has issued a fun challenge!  Choose one of her cards/projects to CASE.  Easy!  I have bookmarked so many of her projects as inspiration.

So stop by Keva's blog and I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding something that inspires you!
See You Later!

A Gift from Mom

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

My mom made these pretty eggs for me with her craft supplies.
The pink one is my favorite.

She (my dad) poked holes in real eggs and blew out the white and yolk.
Love this idea!

Hope you're having a great day.
See you later!!

MIM #11 Embossing With Dies

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

This week's Make It Monday technique is embossing with your dies.  I used the medium heart die on a punched circle as the focal point for this mini 'thank you' card.  Its a really easy technique that produces so many different looks.

Cardstock: PTI Kraft, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Polka Dot Parade Paper
Stamps: PTI Tag Its #1
