Tuesday, September 26, 2017

Altenew and Ellen Hutson have teamed up to bring you a beautiful new stamp and die set called Poppy Fields and they've asked me to help them celebrate and show off this wonderful new set!

Poppy Fields

To celebrate two randomly selected commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson shop and two commenters will win a $30 gift certificate to the Altenew shop. To enter just leave a comment on the Ellen Hutson Classroom blog or the Altenew blog by 12pm PST on Wednesday, September 27th.

These poppies are gorgeous.  The set was designed as a multi-step layering set, but if you just use the outline stamp it's perfect for Copic coloring.  When I think poppies I think red!  My favorite Copic combination for deep red flowers is R29 and R59.

I'm so honored that they chose my card for the promotional photo!

Hop on over to see Emily next for another look at this amazing set!  Don't forget to enter for a chance to win a GC! {details above}

WPlus9 September 2017 Release

Monday, September 25, 2017

 Hey Guys! Have you heard? It's time for another WPlus9 release and everything is already available at WPlus9.com!  Joni kicked off release week showcasing the new The Crew: Garden Club.  I couldn't resist joining the fun and sharing a card I made using The Crew: School Days.

So many cute images and accessories in this set! Everything has a matching die, makes designing scenes so much fun!
I love this little scene in particular! I have worked as a K-12 interpreter my entire career and rain or shine Teachers Gonna
Teach!  Look out for more projects all this week here and on the WPlus9 Design Blog!

Hey guys! Just wanted to stop in and share another card featuring the new STAMPtember release of Humble And Kind designed by WPlus9.  This time I colored the images with Copics.  I kept the design pretty simple, but those deep purples are just so gorgeous!

WPlus9 Humble And Kind {STAMPtember}

Monday, September 18, 2017

Happy STAMPtember everyone! Every year September is a very exciting month.  Simon Says Stamp releases tons of new stamp and die sets.  Many of them are exclusive collaborations with our favorite stamp companies.  For example, the set I have to share with you, Humble And Kind, was designed by Dawn from WPlus9 just for SSS.  It will available while supplies last so if you love it as much as I do, grab one!

I've paired it with Ink Splats. An unexpected combination, but I think it works so well. I love solid images stamped over black line drawn images.

I have rekindled my love affair with clear Wink Of Stella.  I can't get enough.  It's difficult to see in the photos, but all of the colored ink is coated with it.  It really shimmers!

Such an awesome set.  I'm so grateful I was sent a set to play with.  I look forward to using it a lot more!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Too Cute To Spook

Sunday, September 17, 2017

Happy Sunday.  What a day I've had.  I got all of the laundry, cleaning and shopping out of the way yesterday.  Ryan had some things he wanted to do today so I was home alone most of the day.  I know for some people that sounds boring, but I love time alone.  I crafted, listened to podcast, baked chocolate chip cookies, did a face mask, organized some of my dresser drawers..... It's been lovely and it's only 4:30!  I still have plenty more day left.

I bought this Too Cute To Spook Reverse Confetti set last year, but after Halloween had past.  I just thought it was so adorable.  I've waited until now to use it.  Since Halloween is next month I figured the time is right.

I created a simple background by repeated stamping of the spider web.  I created the focal point scene on the large oval die cut from WP9 Basic Labels. I did just a bit of simple Copic coloring and a whole lotta clear Wink of Stella!

I hope you're all having a wonderful Sunday as well.  Thanks for stopping by.
